Elden Ring: Find all 7 paintings (Prophecy, Resurrection, Red Mane, Bird, Hero’s Song) and the locations

the Paintings in Elden Ring are items that are stored in the inventory under the « Info » tab.

A total of seven paintings are hidden in the intermediate land and each of them shows a specific landscape motif. If you have the pictures in your pocket and look for the place that can be seen on them, you will find a special reward.

This only works if you have also collected the corresponding painting. At the depicted location, you will then see a ghostly figure sitting on a chair – apparently the artist behind the picture – leaving your reward behind.

Painting: Homecoming Instinct

Location of the painting Returning Instinct.
  • locality: Found in the artist’s hut in East Limgrave.
  • Painted place: Northwest of the Cliffside Ruins Place of Grace and a little southwest of the dragon-burned ruins in Limgrave (near the bats).
  • Reward: Invocation Scarab (Helmet)

Painting: Prophecy

Location of the painting Prophecy.
  • locality: Found in Castle Stormveil. In the inner courtyard with the many defenses (where the mark also hangs around with his dog) is a small room in which the picture stands.
  • Painted place: Behind the Pilgrim’s Church on the Peninsula of Tears (looking northwest toward Stormveil Castle).
  • Reward: Warhawk Ash

Painting: Resurrection

Location of the painting Resurrection.
  • locality: Found in the Artist’s Hut in Liurnia (Northwest of the Carian Lecture Hall).
  • Painted place: Go southeast from the Place of Mercy « Behind Caria’s Manor » (you must have completed Caria’s Manor and defeated Loretta for this). In the graveyard near the Albinaurics you can see the skeleton sitting (facing Raya Lucaria’s Academy).
  • Reward: 1x Larva Tear, Young Scholar’s Cap, Young Scholar’s Robe

Painting: Red Mane

Location of the painting Red Mane.
  • locality: Found in Sellia, City of Wizards. In a building on the right side of the main street (just south of the Sellia map icon).
  • Painted place: Northeast of Faroth Fortress and south of the Lesser Earth Tree (see below for explanation and directions).
  • Reward: Ashes of War: Arrow Hail

To explain, because the way is a bit cumbersome. Go southeast of the Earth Tree to this spot:

Let yourself fall onto the root below and then further down bit by bit. The difficult jumps succeed with the horse.

You can ignore the golem. He’s not worth the trouble. But grab the rune bow next to him.

Painting: Hero’s Song

Location of the painting Song of the Heroes.
  • locality: Found in the Schattenburg on the Altus Plateau. Go north/northeast from the place of mercy « Schattenburg – Wall » and you will see a poisoned area on the left with a wooden shelter in which the painting stands.
  • Painted place: Southwest of the place of mercy « Wallpfad » on the Altus Plateau, in the area where you fight the Ancient Dragon Lansseax. The ghost looks west to the tomb of the holy hero.
  • Reward: harp bow

Painting: Flightless Bird

Location of the painting Flightless Bird.
  • locality: Found in the Royal Capital of Leyndell. Fight your way through to the « Western Capital Wall » place of mercy. From there you reach the Fortified Manor (a building constructed in the same way as the Tablet of Mercy). On the ground floor next to the place of mercy « Fortified Estate, Ground Floor » you will find the picture.
  • Painted place: Dominula, windmill village. Go to this location in the north of the Altus Plateau, defeat the Apostle of the Godscalps and look further south for the spirit on the cliffs.
  • Reward: Sorcery « Deadly Sin of Fire »

Painting: Magician

Location of the painting Sorcerer.
  • locality: Found in Castle Sol. In the courtyard you have to run past the ballistae over the bridge. Behind the second shooter, a ladder leads down into a building. She will take you to the room with the painting.
  • Painted place: Southwest of Sol Castle, on the side of the bridge northwest of the Stargazer Ruins (facing east towards the Crescent Moon).
  • Reward: big hood
