Elden Ring: Reach Vessel Castle and talk to the pots

the Vessel Castle in Elden Ring is a place in the east of Liurnia.

You’ll find the small town (which, by the way, doesn’t look much like a « castle ») south of the Carian classroom, but at first glance there’s no way there, at least not a direct one.

Start at the artist’s hut west of the classroom and follow the path southeast.

On the cliffs south of the classroom you can fall over some tombstones at this point:

You land on a roof where you have a dead body 3x Blacksmith Stone (3) discovered. Jump down to the ground, activate it Place of Mercy (Vessel Castle) and you can look around in peace.

The Vessel Castle is home to these whimsical pots, some of which you’ve probably seen throughout the game. There are no enemies here.

South of the castle is a small graveyard with open coffins where you can inscribe some runes.

Since patch 1.03, a vessel child has also been sitting in front of a house in the town and is ready for a dialogue. Talk to him and say that you will be the new ruler. It is Alexander’s nephew, whom you probably already know (see Alexander’s quest).

The NPC Diallos can also appear here if you have already followed his quest far enough.

Diagonally across from the child you see a crooked tombstone with a usable pot in front of it that you can collect.

There are also plenty of plants in the village, including Rowa Fruit, Sunflower, Grave Violet, Eyes of Yelough, Poison Blossom, Crystal Bud, Trina’s Lilies, and more. You can come back as often as you like and pick some (also says the child after you have reloaded). The higher quality plants will not respawn.

You can also find it on one of the vessels here 1x ritual pot and next to a house in the north of the place there is 1x Cracked Pot.

In the hut northeast of it (a small jar is inside) there is another one cracked pot and the Shard of a living vessel at the corpse.

Last but not least, you can jump onto a roof at this point:

There is an item ready to be collected at the top. It is a matter of 1x ritual pot (of which there are a few here, how useful).

If you have followed Diallos’ quest far enough and exhausted his dialogue and that of the vessel child, the village will be attacked.
