Elden Ring: All endings explained, requirements and how to unlock them

the Ends in Elden Ring form the end of the long journey through the intermediate country.

Your availability after the finals will depend on several different factors. Depending on which side quests you complete and what things you did or missed, the ending sequence may differ.

There is six endings in Elden Ring, three of which unlock a trophy or achievement. The three remaining endings are variations of Ending 1: Age of Shattering.

In the guide to the various endings, we explain the requirements, which things must be fulfilled and how to unlock the endings.

Can you unlock all endings in one go?

It works, but not without a few little tricks. You can set the stage for this by completing all relevant NPC quests (explained below) prior to the final battle against the Eldenbeast before deciding on a final sequence after the final boss.

Important: Once you’ve triggered one of the endings, the credits follow and you can play the other endings in regular way only unlock in New Game Plus (NG+) or with a new character. Unless you save the game, before you click on the Split Marika.

Here are helpful guides on how to back up the savegames on all systems so that you can experience all endings of Elden Ring in one go:

  • Save saves on PC
  • Save saves on PS5 and PS4
  • Backup saves to Xbox

What else should I do before the end of Elden Ring?

Of course, it’s up to you when to call it quits, but there’s no harm in considering the following:

  • Find all Holy Tears and Golden Seeds to max upgrade Holy Bottles.
  • Explore all areas, complete the optional dungeons and defeat the bosses.
