Rockstar turns off the money tap

A new update for GTA Online makes it difficult for players to access in-game currency. With the update, Rockstar is adjusting the repetition rate of the popular, because profitable Cayo Perico Heists. Especially single players have to suffer from this innovation.

The Criminal Enterprises content update for GTA Online starts today. Rockstar is going live with some gameplay changes and implementing several improvements requested by the community. However, one particular step frustrates players because the developer nerfs the Cayo Perico Heista previously extremely popular way to quickly get a lot of in-game currency.

GTA Online: Cayo Perico Heist isn’t as worthwhile as it used to be

With the Cayo Perico Heist, players have had an attractive opportunity to get a considerable amount of money in a short time. Both beginners and experts could approximately one million in-game dollars in the heist dust off – and repeat the heist after just 15 minutes.

This refresh rate has now been severely restricted by Rockstar. After the new update need Single player now wait three ingame days, before they can start the heist again. If you’re doing the heist as a group, you’ll have to wait one in-game day before trying again.

Community complains about Rockstar update

The restriction of the Cayo Perico Heist is not well received by GTA Online fans. On Reddit, players protest against the measure – especially single players complain because Rockstar’s encouragement of cooperation between players was not desired by many at all becomes. Also, many in the community are reporting bad experiences they’ve had with players they don’t know playing heists together.
